BUYER'S
GUIDE TO ROOF MOUNT SCREENS
At NESA VISION we believe the following features are required
for a great Ceiling Mount Screen.
Slim attractive design:- Most customers are attracted to a slim ceiling mount design. Bulky units look less attractive when installed. Our models range in thickness from 48mm to 65mm.
Swivel Screen:- A swivel screen allows better angle for rear seat passengers. Larger screens need more support and generally do not have swivel. Ensure it has a good close clasp and folds back far enough for the little ones to see it clearly. Ensure the bracket is strong enough to withstand the rigours of bumpy roads.
Motorised Screen:- Some screens are fully motorised and will drop down automatically when turned on. These are generally more expensive. A childproof ratchet system is one of the features of some NESA Ceiling Mount screens.
New Bright LCD Monitor- A quality product requires a NEW rather than B Grade LCD panel. If its cheap then it will usually have a second hand panel from china with much less life, narrower viewing angles and less clear and bright screen. NESA panels are all new. Brightness is measured in NITS and we have among the brightest panels around. View angle is also very important, side to side maximum is 170 degrees, and vertical is also important. Compare the clarity, brightness and view angle.
In-built FM transmitter:- An in-built FM transmitter means less installation time and less chance of noise interference. It allows you to tune your existing car radio into one of the FM transmitter channels. It should also allow for less static and problems in getting a crisp, clear FM signal. Nearly all NESA Ceiling mount screens have excellent quality in-built FM Transmitters.
In-built IR transmitter and Dome lights:- Ensure the ceiling mount screen has an inbuilt IR sender so the rear seat passengers can listen to the sound on Infra-red headphones. This allows the driver to listen undisturbed to their own selection of music. All our Ceiling mounts come with clear signal IR transmitters and dome lights.
Widescreen Operation:- All NESA ceiling mounts can be operated in widescreen, zoom or normal mode. A 4:3 format is usually a squarer screen. The 16:9 format is usually a widescreen format and generally a little more expensive.
Wide Picture Angle:- All NESA screens can be viewed from up to 150 degrees R & L. The screens have been treated with a low reflective coating and have excellent colour, contrast and clarity.
IR Headphones:- NESA headphones have proven themselves to be very reliable, quality units.
