DESCRIPTION:
•NAVTEQ Off-Road 4WD features will help leisure drivers plan and travel to off-road routes; related content allows drivers to find designated off-road courses.
•NAVTEQ Off-Road data provides Off-Road route display for 4WD vehicles or motorbikes on unpaved trails.
DATA FEATURES:
•Off-road geometry is attributed specifically so that applications can clearly differentiate between navigable geometry and Off-Road 4WD geometry (which is not navigable and is suited for display purposes only). Product attribution will allow for track searching, selection and guidance to the selected track
•Off-road Geometry set on FC5 geometry only (Paved attribute set to No)
AVAILABILITY:
•Available with Q4 2007 Australia Map product
•Future updates will include coverage and content expansion e.g. Tasmania, New Zealand
COVERAGE:
•Q4 2008: Over 33,000km nationally (excl. Tasmania, ACT), over 8,000 Off-Road POI supported
•2010: Expand coverage to Tasmania, New Zealand
FORMAT:
•Support for all NAVTEQ formats including GDF, SIF, RDF and NAVSTREETS. POI supported in POI-XML.
